Time, tide, migraines and anaphylactic shock wait for no man.
Pharmacies, unfortunately, aren’t always nearby and open. In many cases, taking medication as soon as possible is what you need to keep a minor problem from blowing up, or at least from suffering unnecessarily.
The idea of keeping a pill on a keychain is certainly a good one, but this product’s charm doesn’t stop there.
In the first place, it’s made of stainless steel and is enormously tough: beating it with a hammer may harm it, but also may not. The build quality is superb in other ways, too: the whole seals tightly, meaning that the pill compartment is very unlikely to work itself loose and fall off. This end, by the way, has a grippy texture as an aid to wrenching it open; for the top part, you can use the keyring as a lever.
This moistureproof seal has another function. Though most medicines are still safe and effective after their expiration dates, this is not the case when they’re stored under humid conditions. This makes keeping your pills in the average bathroom cabinet or in fact your pocket a bad idea.
Unfortunately, the level of care taken in its construction does make it somewhat expensive – you’re more likely to buy this as a gift for someone with medical challenges than yourself.
At only about ½ an inch wide and high on the inside, it’s also a little too small for some purposes, though this does make it more comfortable to use.
