Fitness trackers have made it much easier for us to know if we are getting enough exercise. With a worldwide couch-potato epidemic it’s high time we all take control of our health!
The problem is that the big-name fitness trackers of the world are pretty expensive. Most of them are now essentially fancy smartwatches, with fitness tracker features built in. So you can expect to pay at least in the low-hundreds for one.
Letscom offers a very focused product at a rock-bottom price. In terms of design it looks very much like the competition. Which isn’t a bad thing. After all, the designs of devices from companies like Fitbit is practical for sports use. There are only so many ways to make a wristband that won’t interfere with your mobility.
The Letscom offers heart rate monitoring, step counting, calorie estimates and everything else you’d expect. It’s also a digital watch, waterproof and will show notifications. This is pretty much on-par with what pricey units offer, so where’s the catch?
Well, for one thing there are quite a few people who doubt the accuracy of the measurements, saying that the steps aren’t being counted quite right. Then the app itself is a little rough around the edges. The hardware in modern fitness trackers isn’t actually all that expensive, but keeping the apps up to date and working with new features is not something any company can do. So if you buy this fitness tracker you’re better off considering it disposable, since it’s unlikely that the product will get long-term support at this price.
However, as a budget option it’s not bad at all and there are many satisfied buyers.
