Unlike some units, this machine contains its own motor instead of drawing power from your existing electrical drill. You’re still required to press the chuck/bit assembly against the sharpening wheel manually, so some finesse and a little bit of fiddling are required.

Almost any kind of drill bit can be sharpened, with the point angle adjustable from from 115° to 140°. It also gives you the option of cutting in a split point, although this seems kind of hard to get right.

The device is guaranteed for three years of use, although the manufacturer recommends changing out the diamond grinding wheel after every 200 uses.
