A lot of things have been simulated in video games: aircraft, racing cars, running a business, even a person’s whole life. I guess game developers are running short of ideas by now.
“But wait!” one of them must have cried out in the middle of some strategy meeting. “What about garbage trucks! People love those!”
Amazingly, others must have taken him seriously.
As a simulator, it’s really not that bad – except for the physics, which is straight from a John Woo movie, unless you drive carefully, which I guess is how you’re supposed to “win”. The premise is just seriously flawed: people mostly play video games for escapism. We can all understand somebody wanting to cast himself in the role of a football hero or even a demon, but sanitary engineering just doesn’t have the same kind of cachet.
So, are you up for the challenge?
Just kidding.
However, having been released in 2011, it really hasn’t aged well. At this price, you can afford it as a gag gift for a gamer you know. He will surely appreciate the gesture.
