Star Wars has many memorable lines. Even the misremembered ones, such as Daddy Vader’s admission to Luke. The whole “no, I am your father” has a lot of competition from the small exchange between Leia and Han just before Darth freezes him in Carbonite.
Not sure if Han will survive the process, Leia finally admits her feelings with “I love you”. Han, being the rogue he is, simply replies “I know”.
That’s not actually what the shooting script directed the characters to say. The exchange was much more flowery and trite. So the director and Mr. Solo himself worked the dialogue a little bit (much to the irritation of Carrie Fisher) so that it fit the character better. The end result is almost universally loved and is seen as one of the most touching moments in the entire saga.
Now, you can tap a little into that sentiment with this set of key rings.
Yes, it’s a simple little set, but if you and the object of your affection are both fans of Star Wars, the meaning behind it runs deep. It’s a very affordable way to win all the brownie points; exactly the sort of thing Han Solo would come up with to get out of the doghouse.
