If you’re a hamburger fanatic, you’ll know that the pre-made patties you can buy at the store just don’t compare to the flavor of those you form and perhaps even grind yourself.
Lean cuts of beef may have their uses, but for a truly satisfying burger, you need the juiciness only a good amount of fat can provide, rounded out with the perfect seasoning mix.
This attention to detail pays serious dividends come grilling time. Unfortunately, forming decently-sized, evenly thick patties that won’t fall apart is a lot of work, especially if you’re hosting a party for more than a dozen people.
With this little gadget, you don’t need the dexterity of a sushi chef to churn out enough burgers for an entire banquet. Simply layer some meat in the base, optionally use the indent tool to create a pocket for your preferred fillings, add some more meat and give it a final press – voila!
You can use this to create burgers of between ¼ and ¾ lbs (115 to 340 grams), though the smaller size is four inches in diameter, uncooked, and therefore not what I personally think of as a slider.
If you use a scale, or get good at judging quantities, every single patty will turn out uniformly, making it much easier to grill them to the perfect degree of doneness.
Finally, all the components are coated with non-stick material and can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
