These little capsules, in case you were wondering, are not pharmaceutical grade and probably not even edible. This doesn’t mean they’re not useful, though, especially if you’re blessed with a little bit of romance and creativity.
In a sense, this is the “lite” version of the more widely known love-you notes. Instead of your thoughts about someone being bound into a book, each of these pills contains a slip of paper just about large enough to write “I ♥ U” or “You can do the thing!”. When rolled up, a small golden band wraps neatly around this note, after which you insert it into a plastic vial decorated with a kind of emoji.
It’s up to you how you want to use them. One approach would be to sneak a short message into your loved one’s lunchbox on mornings they’re feeling down.
Alternatively, you can fill all of the pills at once, leave them in the bottle, and ask your friend or lover to take one out and read it every time they miss you.
This particular bottle is small enough to easily fit into a purse and contains 25 to 30 message capsules, which should be enough to get someone you care about through a trying month.
A larger, 90-pill version is also for sale, though in this case you can’t choose the capsule color.
The catch, of course, is that you have to come up with the messages yourself (obviously, this plus the fact that each is handwritten adds a lot to the charm of this gift).
If you get stuck halfway through thinking of ninety thoughtful things to say about a spouse, friend, or family member, you may have to turn to the internet for some inspiration.
