If you’re the kind of scatterbrained person who’s always searching for your phone, charger, or both, this might appeal to you.
Alternatively, if separating your family from their devices when dinner’s ready or at bedtime is a constant struggle, placing one of these in the corner of the room might cure that worry.
The chargers themselves are not supplied. Including a surge-protected USB source and a couple of cables probably wouldn’t have jacked up the price by all that much, but electronics aren’t really this company’s strong suit (and of course this wouldn’t fit all phones and tablets in any case).
Instead, this is just a nice-looking box with space to keep a power strip and a couple of chargers neatly out of sight. A couple of removable inserts form cubbyholes to store up to five devices while charging. They rest at an angle of about 60°, so you can also use this as a stand while videoconferencing or watching videos.
The box is made of ethically farmed bamboo, which may be exactly the kind of aesthetic you’re going for.
At a minimum, it shouldn’t look out of place in most environments, regardless of whatever decorating scheme you’ve chosen.
Overall, there’s little to complain about regarding the workmanship, but it’s up to you to decide whether the practical value of this box justifies its relatively high price.
