People have created all kinds of stuff using Lego including life-size, running cars, a 16-foot statue, and a full-scale X-Wing spaceship (which has some cool special effects built in but does not, unfortunately, fly).
You or your kid’s ambitions and budget may not rise to these heights, but this is no reason not to stretch your creativity: extend your range with these Lego-textured strips.
This tape is compatible with all Lego blocks, as well as most of the knock-offs that try to be Lego. In terms of size, each piece is either four or two studs across and about 6 feet (2 meters) long and comes in the colors red, gray, green, pink, and blue.
If you like, perhaps to create a custom pattern or fit a bookshelf exactly, you can also cut it to size using a pair of scissors.
The great thing about them, though, is that you can bend them into curved shapes and also stick them to suitable surfaces: tile or wood is fine, but don’t place one on a painted wall if you’d like it to stay painted.
Unfortunately, they’re not like sticky notes that can be removed and used multiple times, nor are they planted in place as if nailed down (though they stick much better than cheaper comparable products).
Even though they’re semi-permanent fittings, what you build on them probably won’t be if they’re mounted vertically or upside down.
Since the strips are flexible, the studs too are made of soft plastic and don’t really snap in like regular legos. Get some Blu Tack at the same time unless you want using this to get a little frustrating.
